On March 4, 2016, State Representative Ben Ray Lujan brought together Senator George Munoz, representatives from U.S. Senators Heinrich and Udall, area officials from the Navajo Nation, Gallup, McKinley County, healthcare, law enforcement, and others from area communities at El Morro Theatre's Second Street Events Center to discuss how to better sustain what has been called the Gallup Detox Center, Na’Nizhoozhi Center, and NCI.

Teach for America applicant deadline 3/4/16 for Gallup, NM area

Representatives from the Gallup, New Mexico office of Teach for America discuss the need for more applicants to teach in areas where they grew up, i.e., Diné folks with at least a Bachelors to work in the Navajo Nation, Zuni instructors for the area including the Pueblo of Zuni, and more - the application deadline for those wanting to teach this fall is Friday, March 4, 2016.
