A community meeting in Gallup, New Mexico, on March 23, 2018 provided updates on the struggle by organizations, community members, and miners adversely affected by uranium mines in Northwestern New Mexico and Northeastern Arizona, including the Navajo Nation and other Native lands.
Speakers included Larry King of ENDAUM (Eastern Navajo Diné Against Uranium Mining) and Anna Rondon of New Mexico Social Justice and Equity Institute, as well as former miners and community members impacted by uranium mining.

KGLP Station Manager speaks with former Gallup Public Radio board member Sam McBride, who is now part of the Thai Burma Border Health Iniative, which is sponsoring Mountain Film on Tour this Saturday, March 10, 2018, at El Morro Theatre in Gallup, NM:
This Saturday, March 10th, "Mountainfilm on Tour" will feature short films screening at 4:30 and then at 8:30 PM in El Morro Theatre, featuring inspiring, entertaining and adrenaline filled stories selected from their annual festival in Telluride, Colorado. Any Proceeds will Benefit the Thai Burma Border Health Initiative. More information on the charity may be found at:
