The August 12, 2011 Friday Forum featured an event on the BNSF Special, as KGLP Station Manager Rachel Kaub visited with Laguna and Acoma Pueblo members riding in vintage business cars between Grants and Gallup to commemorate an 1880's agreement, "The Flower of Friendship", permitting the establishment of rail service through tribal lands in exchange for jobs and transportation for these Pueblos. This program received a New Mexico Broadcasters award for special event coverage.
